How Insulting!

Yesterday, my best friend Terri and I were insulted. In fact, we were doubly insulted by the same person.

My first thought was, What is she talking about? Everything she's saying is ridiculous.

But today, I see it in a different light. You see, we were insulted by this person because of our faith. She slung her arrows at us because our faith in God, and the steps we took in faith and trust, shook up the status quo.

In God's kingdom this means we're blessed.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.  Matt 5:11-12

Right now I'm rejoicing. And I'm still going to be Jesus to this woman because I don't know what's going on in her heart, but I know The One who can heal it.

So when you're insulted, rejoice and be happy! Your reward is waiting for you.
